What is Facial Rejuvenation?

Facial rejuvenation refers to all procedures or techniques and practices that improve the overall look and quality of facial skin. Generally, the tissue in the skin begins to get damaged over the years and even loosens. These changes in the appearance and texture of the skin are considered signs of aging.

These facial changes can be restored to your previous youthful appearance using facial rejuvenation techniques. While a facelift is the most important or foundation for many facial rejuvenation procedures, other cosmetic procedures can enhance the obtained result

How is the Skin Rejuvenation Treatment done?

Facial rejuvenation is done in three forms, namely thermal, chemical and photo. The procedure with the combination of these three garners the best results.

● The first is known as thermal rejuvenation in which the heat is used to repair any damage to the skin. It is an inexpensive form of righting the skin.

● Next is chemical rejuvenation in which specific chemical compounds are used to clear out the external damaged layer of the skin. This chemical procedure is safer when it is performed by a trained medical professional.

● The last form of skin rejuvenation treatment is called photorejuvenation in which light is used to repair the facial skin cells. More specialized lasers are used to perform this procedure.

How much time does it take to complete the facial rejuvenation procedure?

The treatment does not require patients to stay at the hospital overnight. Normally, it takes around an hour or two to complete the procedure, however, it is completely based on the type of the procedure.

How long does facial rejuvenation last?

Usually, a facial rejuvenation procedure lasts anywhere from eight months to two years, and a face-lift (surgical) procedure typically lasts for several years.

How often should I rejuvenate my face?

We should always give adequate time for your skin to heal after facial rejuvenation treatments.
For instance, if you have done microneedling and chemical peels, you need 4-6 weeks for your skin to heal.
And for some less intense procedures like microdermabrasion, your skin needs just 3-4 weeks to return for a follow-up procedure.

So, it is always good to be upfront about your medical history and medication with your dermatologist team at Dr. Madhu's Skin and Hair Clinic before getting into certain treatments.
